Director of Business Development

Job Description

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for directing the sales function of the Rocky Mountain region. Including developing the sales plan to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the region and ensuring maximum sales volume of the region’s products and/or services. Manages all aspects of the sales function including the responsibility for cultivating new customer opportunities in the Rocky Mountain region and growing our existing customer base. He/She must be very experienced at identifying customer's enterprise web challenges and developing technical specifications for potential customer engagements within Indigio’s targeted verticals. This self-starter will be independent and have exceptional leadership skills as well as very strong communication, presentation, technical, and follow up skills. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of direct experience in the field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Reports to Indigio’s Vice President of Business Development. The ideal candidate will have a strong existing network of senior managers in the Financial Services, High Tech and Life Sciences industries that reside in the Rocky Mountain area that could be in need of Indigio’s custom web/application development, user center design or web software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new opportunities/prospects for Indigio
  • Qualify the prospect and evaluate the prospect’s capital expenditures, revenue potential, and production methods
  • Reach out to potential customer base within a horizontal or vertical segment and mine opportunities within this group
  • Effectively use the company marketing initiatives and collateral (handouts, demo's, and other material) and successfully engage new prospects
  • Develop technical and business requirements with internal team for our customer web and application development engagements. Develop detailed proposals to meet customer challenges
  • Provide additional revenue by always being aware of upgrade opportunities within existing engagements, or new opportunities within a customer's organization

Requirements

  • Strong communication, follow, and customer-ready presentation skills
  • Strong technical writing skills, and professional proposal development skills
  • Minimally a Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Engineering preferred). Deep working knowledge of enterprise applications, content/document management systems, HTML, .Net, XML, Java, and SQL/Databases
  • Working knowledge of the MS Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Minimally 4 years of experience selling software or web development engagements
